I'm going to get deep, down, and straight into it. Have you ever wondered what your purpose is in this lifetime? I've found myself stuck in a rut where I've constantly questioned what my souls purpose is. I ask myself what the heck I am supposed to do every single day for the rest of my life? I used to get afraid of asking myself these questions because I was afraid that I wouldn't know the answers to them. It would be a constant cycle of asking the hard questions and not knowing the answers.

I don't know if it's just me but I feel more pressured each day to find something that sparks joy in my life and run with it. Comparison is so easy and common in today's society. On one hand I see someone else my age already deep into their career while on the other hand someone else has started a family. When I see these things I assume that this or that person has found their purpose in this life, except for me. I've learned that when you're comparing your life to someone else's, you're not allowing your heart and soul to open up to revealing itself.

Along the way of reflection and questioning, I've gone through experiences that have really opened up my heart and mind to discovering what it is that makes my heart and soul filled fulfilled. These experiences have made me realize that living your purpose is the ultimate form of self-love. This book has made me understand that we are already born with our dharma, but it is our experiences that make it our dharma. Our dharma is defined by our journey.

I was gifted a book from my boyfriend's mom titled "Discover Your Dharma" by Sahara Rose. I read a lot of books, but this was one of the first of many spiritual books I read. I initially thought to myself "Dharma who and Dharma what?" But after shoving my face in this book, I feel like I have learned so much and I have so much to share!

So let's here it. What is Dharma?

Your Dharma is your soul's purpose in this world. Your dharma is the truest expression of who you are. The beautiful thing about discovering your dharma is that you don't always have to know where you're going, but you get to follow what feels true for you right at that very moment. Your dharma isn't just one moment; it's the lessons you learn that bring each moment together.

I have to say that the feeling of getting to do things for yourself is one of the most liberating feelings. No more looking at the girl who has already started her cute little family and feeling behind. No more looking at the girl who is deep into her career, thriving and feeling like a failure. This journey of discovering your dharma is for you and only you. It is the the path of following joy.

"When you say yes to answering your higher calling, everything you've been seeking naturally manifests because you are in harmony with your truth."

When you're living in alignment with your dharma, there is no separation between the outer and inner you. You are always tapped into limitless energy, creativity, and inspiration. You will know that you are living your Dharma when you feel completely alive with an ignited flame burning in your heart. Excitement will always light the path. It's the soul's language of asking you to pay attention.

On the other hand, I hope that you take every feeling of confusion, fear, trauma, and pain and understand that this is paving the path for your dharma to reveal itself. The universe will never give you more than you can handle. The obstacles presented to you are so you could rise above them and see things from a higher perspective.

There is a short quiz that the author made that I took that helped allow me to gain a deeper level of insight into what my primary and secondary archetype are. I'm not saying that this quiz will 100% help you figure out your life purpose, but it may bring a level of awareness to you that you may not have known before. Your dharma archetype may give you a unique lens from which you can view the world and fulfill your dharma. Knowing your archetype will allow you to see what you naturally excel at.

Remember that the only thing that is required for you to live your dharma is live your truth. When you let go of everything you are not, you can step into who you truly are.

"When you embody your truth, you inspire others to embody theirs."

Living in alignment with your dharma is a frequency - it is expressing completely who you are at this moment and also remaining open to the evolution of who you will become.
